Hygge Lake House on Lake Leelanau

Short drive from downtown Traverse City. The house is well stocked with everything you need. All bedrooms are on the second floor, and the beds are comfortable — three king bedrooms make it feel spacious plus 2 extra bedrooms. One of the two second-floor bathrooms was out of commission, but the host let us know a few days before check-in. The garage is filled with water sports gear. The kitchen is great to cook in and has a nice coffee bar as an added bonus.The lake itself is clean and clear with a sandy entrance. We loved that it had very minimal boat traffic and was quiet. The neighbors on either side of the house were quiet as well. The neighborhood sits on a point with limited cars. Great walking/running paths and close to the Tart trail, local farmstead and easy access to the FarmClub winery/restaurant. Chris, the host, is a great communicator and wonderful to work with.

The home was beautiful and perfect for us! The lakefront is awesome and well maintained, and the house also had a number of kayaks, inflatables, SUP and canoe available to use, as well as an assortment of other lake front necessities like fishing gear and water shoes. We had a wonderful time here and would love to stay here again!

The house was very beautiful and we had a wonderful stay. However, when we came in, there were a few small flies. We thought nothing of it since they probably flew in from outside. However, the next day, we found extra trash cans in the cabinet next to the trash can which were all filled to the brim with trash from past people who stayed there. We took the trash out and it fixed the fly problem luckily. Giving it 5 stars because other than that, the host was responsive and very nice and the house was very nice, spacious, with a beautiful view of lake leelanau, and it was an overall great stay.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience at this rental. Wonderful location. Breathtaking lake, we enjoyed swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding. This house is very clean and organized, and well supplied with everything we needed from outdoor games, board games, children's books, kitchen supplies. Highly recommend this to families!
